Whenever youbootyour WindowsPC, you get a glimpse of a message stating that you should press a button if you want to enter theBIOSmenu.
TheBIOSmenu, among other things, is where you can see yourPC‘sbootpriority list.
Thebootpriority list is the order in which yourPCwill choose where tobootoff of.
This means that by changing thebootorder, you could set yourPCtobootoff of a removable disk, a USB stick or even a disk.
However, some users havereportedthat theirPCssometimes seem to ignore thebootorders all on their own.
What can I do if Windows 10 ignores the boot order?
1. Check to see if the boot media is working properly.
In theory, there is no reason why aPCwould ignore abootorder unless the first choices that you nominated were invalid.
This is because thePCwill take all thebootoptions in order, andbootoff of the first valid one it finds.
As such, if you changed thebootorder recently, make sure your first choices are none of the ones below:
