There isn’t a lack of weather apps in the Windows 8 Store, and we have featured and described in the past thefamous AccuWeather app, its updates, and also theBing Weatherapp by Microsoft. But if that’s not enough for you, then have a look at the recently launched “The Weather App”First of all, let me start by saying that The Weather App for Windows 8 is just at its beginning, so bugs and glitches are expected to be present, so be patient with it as I’m sure the developer will take care of them on the go. What I particularly love about it is the absence of ads, which could be something temporary to attract more users to download it. The background images are beautiful, but they really need to improve the relevancy and location of the apps, perhaps borrowing the same design idea from the Yahoo! Weather app.

Check the weather in most cities and towns in the world with this app. The app’s beautiful and minimalistic layout shows the current weather condition in the given location as well as a 3 day forecast. Provided by World Weather Online, the data provided is accurate and is available for almost every city in this planet (so sorry for any alien being living somewhere outside Earth).

It can be used on a desktop Windows 8 device, and on a Windows 8 or Windows RT tablet. It says that most of the world’s cities are included, but I tried inputting some European locations, and it didn’t show up anything. Most certainly, this is a temporary bug that will be fixed.  The app offers a 3 day forecast and by using a live tile pinned on the start screen, you will always get the latest weather updates. There’s also the option of sharing the weather conditions on social networks. Follow the link from below to download it.
