Thank you to the#WindowsInsiderswho reported some of their apps were failing to launch after upgrading to Builds 20150+. We included a fix for this with Build 20161.

The address included a link to the Feedback Hub where Jennifer G, a Microsoft engineer, announced the fix in a little more detailed way:

Thanks for reporting this – there was an issue with Builds 20150-20152 resulting in some games andapplicationscrashing at launch or failing to install. A fix for this has just flighted with Build 20161.

The fix was especially targeted at the Beyond Compare 4 game that was not running anymore on build 20150.

Although some users welcome the fix, other insidersreported thatMy app (Messenger) is failing to start in Windows 10build 2016.

Microsoft hasn’t acknowledged this issue yet and doesn’t have a solution for it.

Windows 10 build 20161was released forInsidersin the Dev Channel at the start of July and came with lots of new interesting features including the new awesome Start menu.

For what it counts, it’s a lot better to identify and resolve this kind of issue at the earliest possible time to give the Microsoft team enough time to solve them.
