Well, well, well, it seems that Windows 10 and the Chrome browser could become good friends in the future. According to a feature request update on Chromium’s project page, it appears that users will soon be able to display Chrome notifications in Action Center on Windows 10.

It seems thatour predictions from 2016are coming true.

Although this is only a feature request at the moment, recent posts indicate this could soon change.

Like it says in the summary, this is strictly a feature request (and one with something of a limited audience at this time). Still, it has the potential to make Chrome notifications significantly more convenient on this OS.

ManyChrome users already backed up the idea, suggesting this definitely should happen, as it’s “the logical progression of things“.

As we already stated, althoughthis threadgoes back to 2015, recent posts suggest that Google finally agreed to integrate this feature in its upcoming browser versions:

This new feature is currently available only on Chromium. However, users expect it to land in Chrome Canary in a few hours or days’ time. This means that Chrome beta could support this feature in the coming months.

Google didn’t rush to take this decision

This piece of news made many Windows 10 users who use Chrome as their default browser very happy. However, some criticized Google for taking so long to implement this feature.
