Key notes
How can youuninstall an app in Windows 10? There are more methods but probably the quickest is to open the Settings > Apps option.
Well, there’s a newappin theMicrosoft Store, developed byExplorer Intern Projectand spotted byWalkingCatthat does that and more.
The newappis calledAppManager, which sounds suspiciously like an internalMicrosoftname.
How does AppManager works?
AppManager looks a lot like the Apps & Features list from the Settings option inWindows 10. A big hint to that is the Optional features (opens the Settings app) button.
However, AppManager is targetted more atTask Managerfunctions.
Basically, you can use the AppManager app touninstallapps from Windows 10 but you can also use it to monitor running apps and to terminate them.
You can use AppManager as a mini Task Manager
If you click on the Running button you will instantly see the running apps at the present time in Windows 10 and in the right pane you will also see data like CPU, disk , and memory usage.
To terminate anapp, just click on the down arrow from the right of eachappin the list and click on Force Close. Of course, you can also uninstall it.
What makes it more interesting about the AppManager is that you can evenuninstall Cortanawith it and you can’t do that by using the Settings > Apps option.
Other strange information regarding AppManager is its size. The app description in the Microsoft store specifies an approximate size of 102.01 MB but when we downloaded it was only 42 MB.
We don’t really know if it’s an experiment or a fully-fledgedappin development but from our brief experience with it, it just worked without any glitches.
You candownload AppManager for freefrom the Microsoft Store.
If you install and use it, tell us about your experience with it or about any problems you encountered.
