Getting the Windows 10 operating system on as much systems as possible is Microsoft’s main goal right now, and it appears the company is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. The latest attempt to force computer users to upgrade to Windows 10 comes by way of theGWX.exe tool.

What’s interesting here is the fact that many computer users view the GWX.exe tool asmalwaredue to the many times Microsoft has used it to trick Windows users. Microsoft issued an update to the app recently that made it so clicking the X button would not cause the installation of Windows 10.

This time around, after the newest update, things are different. Now,clicking the X buttonmay not necessarily end the installation of Windows 10. There’s a good chance that if you go to sleep for the night and wake up the next morning, Windows 10 will be smiling back at you. This will likely cause some of your accessories and software to cease from working, a huge problem for some.

We hope Microsoft releases an update to fix this issue because it doesn’t look good for the company’s image if it continues like this. Not too long ago on live TV, Windows interrupted the session with a Window 10 upgrade prompt.

We can understand why Microsoft wants to get Windows 10 on as much computers possible. It is more secure, there are several cool features not found on previous versions of Windows, and most importantly,DirectX 12is exclusive to it. We should also point out that when it comes to gaming, several titles from Microsoft are exclusive to Windows 10. All future titles will also be exclusive to the platform so if you’re a gamer, now is the time to jump ship.

Bear in mind that it is free to upgrade from Windows 7 and Windows 8.x to Windows 10 until July 29. After that, folks will be required to pay.
