MicrosoftTeams is a unified communications platform developed byMicrosoft.
It combines persistent workplace chat, video meetings, file storage, andapplicationintegration.
Teams is part of theOffice 365subscription office productivity suite and features extensions that can integrate with non-Microsoftproducts.
While it may have been part ofOffice 365since the beginning, some users have beenreportingthat it is missing from the latest deployments ofOffice 365.
[…] We’ve seen a handful of instances whereOffice 365isinstalledfind, but for some reason Teams is missing. They also do not have theMicrosoftCorporation folder in their Start Menu (Where Teams shortcut should be)No idea why this would happening since it’s obviously the sameInstaller/XML file being used. I’m guessing that means it’s client side….but what that is, who knows ?
Is Microsoft Teams missing from Office 365?
At first, some were speculating whether this was a sign thatMicrosoftTeams is meeting its end of life. Apparently it was just a case of improperinstallationof theOffice 365 client.
According toMicrosoft support, Teams won’t show up until the user has logged off and back on again (or restarted the device). This is a common mistake most users make when installing a new piece of software.
As you may know, most installations usually involve a complete system restart in order to be fullycomplete.Besides, MicrosoftTeams is downloadable as astandalone clientfor free as well, as long as you create an account.
More so, even if theappitself would not beinstalledfor some reason, remember that you can always simply log into theweb app.
