Key notes

Microsoft Edge started gaining sync capabilities a while back when you could only sync basic settings and things like passwords across your signed-in devices.

The Chromium-poweredbrowserhas continued to get both consumer-focused and enterprise-oriented features, though. It recently received the ability to sync extensions across multiple devices, for example.

Well, starting today,Microsoft 365Business Premium users can enjoy Edge enterprise sync services.

The Edge enterprise sync services update is automatically rolling out to new M365 Business Premium users. So, if you subscribed to the cloud-based managed IT service in May 2020 or later, you don’t have to do anything to activate the sync feature.

However, older subscribers (before May 1, 2020) may have to sign out of theirbrowserand sign back in to activate syncing. Microsoftrecommendsthe steps below to get the feature working in Edge:

To sign out of Microsoft Edge, make sure you have your profile with your Business Premium account active, then select the Sign Out button in your profile settings. Then, sign back in with the Sign In button. Within a minute or two, sync should be working as expected.

From now on, M365 Business Premium users can sync their browsing data and have a uniform experience across all their logged-in devices.

In addition, syncing Collections should enhance yourproductivityin the workplace since you can always pick up your content research where you left off each time you sign in to a synced device. Plus if you sync your passwords, signing in becomes a breeze so you can quickly get started on your business account every time you boot your device.

Previously, not allAzure Active Directory(Azure AD) account owners could access the Microsoft Edge sync feature.

Are you an M365 Business Premium user? Or, better still, are you able to sync your Microsoft Edge browsing data? Feel free to leave your feedback in the comments section below.
