Notifications in Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile can be extremely useful. But on the other hand, notifications from some apps can be very annoying, especially if we don’t use that app a lot. Luckily, Microsoft introduced a new way to manage notifications, so people can now reduce the number of annoying unwanted notifications they receive in the Action Center.
Latest Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview build 14322 introduced notification prioritization in Action Center, so user can now choose the frequency of receiving certain notifications.
How to prioritize notifications in Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview
To access prioritization settings, go to Settings > System > Notifications & actions, and choose which app’s notifications are the most important for you. There are three priority levels: Normal, High and Top. So for example, if you set Cortana notifications to the top priority, and Facebook Messenger notifications to the normal priority, Cortana notifications are going to appear before notifications from Facebook Messenger.
Another handy addition is the ability to limit number of notifications per app. The new build sets the default of 3 notifications per app, but you can adjust it to more or less. This will make it easier to organize notifications in the Action Center.
Windows 10 MobileAction Centeris now more customizable than ever. We already told you that you can now easily manage Quick Actions, and the new way of delivering notifications rounds up the new Action Center experience that arrived with Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview build 14322.
Microsoft introduced the similar option to PCs with the latest Windows 10 Preview build, so it’s another feature that Microsoft made almost identical on both platforms.
You can tell us in the comments, what do you think about the new way to organize notifications in Windows 10 Mobile Action Center, and what do you think about the latest Mobile Insider Preview build in general?
