Universal apps became very important part of Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 operating systems. But some occasional bugs inWindows Storemay limit the functionality or damage the appearance of theappand its Live Tile in Start Screen, Start Menu orWindows Store. One user complained that his Live Tiles are double-layered, and we’ll try to find a solution for his problem.

How to fix Windows Store double layered tiles borders

There’s a very rare bug inWindows Storethat makes layers of app tiles doubled. This issue could be very annoying because you won’t be able to install anyappuntil you resolve the problem. To resolve this annoying issue you can try to reset theWindows Storeand see if there are any changes.

You can easily reset theWindows Storewith just a couple of clicks, and here’s exactly what you need to do:

This command will reset theWindows Storeand you’ll get the message saying that your cache is cleared. Now login with your Microsoft account back toWindows Storeand see if the tiles are back to normal. We cannot guarantee you that this solution will work, because we didn’t test it, as this issue is very rare and it occurs on a small amount of computers.

Additionally, you can also run theWindows StoreApps troubleshooter. This built-in troubleshooting tool quickly scans yourWindows 10 appsand automatically fixes all the issues that it detected.

To use this tool, go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > scroll all the way down and launch theApptroubleshooter, as shown in the screenshot below.

Just because this issue isn’t common Microsoft’s developing team didn’t even pay attention to it, so it didn’t release anyWindows Storeupdates that will fix it, and you have to find the workaround on your own.

If you have any comments, suggestions or maybe more experience with the problem of this kind, please write it down in the comments. We would love to have more info about this rare, but annoyingWindows Storebug.
