However, this can also come in handy if you have a number of rules applied that filter emails to the Deleted Items folder which also includes important messages.

How do I determine what Outlook rule was applied?
1. Check through Manage Rules and Alerts

Launch theOutlookclient if it is not already running.

Move back theemailfrom theDeleted Itemsfolder to theinbox.

Click onFile.

On theInfotab, click onManage Rules and Alerts.

Open theRules and Alertsdialogue box.

Open theEmail Rulestab.

Run the rules one by one which should not take much time.

You can run the rule from theRun Rules Nowdialogue.
The find out rules in Outlook, you need to check through theManage Rules and Alertstab in the app.In theRules and Alertswindow, you will find a list of all your message rules. You can see all the existing rules here.
2. Filter rules using deleted folders
