Mountain lovers with a passion for gaming will definitely enjoy playingSteep. The game lets you ride the high peaks of the Alps and Alaska, and master the world’s most challenging mountains on skis, wingsuit, snowboard, and in paraglide.
Just like any newly launched title, Steep is affected by a series of bugs. Players already listeda number of issuesaffecting the game. Fortunately, there are various workarounds available to fix at least some of these bugs.
Speaking of bugs, many gamerscomplainthat they have the wrong language for their game. More specifically, when they launch Steep, the game is inChinese.
I bought Steep Gold Edition from Uplay for PC, and expirienced same problem – after launching the game everything was in chinese. I assume this problem actual only for russian players because Ubisoft limited settings of language for our region in only chinese and russian.
Steep: how to change the game language
Ubisoft has already acknowledged this issue and offered a quick workaround. Follow the steps listed below to change the game language:
Unfortunately, this solutiondoesn’t work for all Steep players. Many gamers who still can’t choose the right language, got tired of searching for solutions and simply demanded a refund.
The fact that we are not just allowed to chose language by ourselves is beyond me…They post a “fix” and sticky it that does nothing for 99% of the people affected, such great service.
Clearly,Ubisoftstill needs more time to look into this matter. At the same time, the company should offer more information to gamers as to when a permanent fix should become available.
If you’ve come across a solution to fix these annoying Steep language problems, feel free to list the troubleshooting steps in the comment section below.
