Owners of Windows 8 tablets have always had problems with the system’s date and time on their devices and we reported a long while ago a certain issue for owners of the Surface Pro 2. And now it seems that Asus VivoTab Smart are affected, as well.
Noticed shortly after upgrading the Asus VivoTab Smart to Windows 8.1 (from Windows 8) — that sometimes (but not all), the system’s date and time will be incorrect. Sometimes it’s as fast as three hours, but others much longer. Interestingly, if you go into PC Settings > Time & Settings and then toggle off the “Set time automatically” option, and then toggle it back on, the time and date are correct. However, the time would again be wrong after a shutdown. Following the other advice and threads on this forum, I entered the desktop and clicked on the time in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. From here I confirmed the time zone was correct and changed the date and time. That fixes the problem during the current session, but the time/date are again wrong on reboot.

If the issue still persists, then you can try the following:
Restart and then check to see whether the problem is still there. If so, try to run an SFC Scan
The “sfc /scannow” command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.
