Have you ever receivedAre you sure you want to copy thisfilewithout its propertiesmessage fromWindowswhen you were trying to move or to copy afile? If the answer is Yes, but you don’t know why you received this message and how to stop it from appearing, keep reading this article to find out.
Usually, this pop-up message shows up when you are trying to copy or to move afilefrom an NTFS drive to another drive that has FAT (FAT16. FAT32 and any other type of FAT). Basically, the NTFS file system is capable of storing some properties, that the ones formatted with the FAT file system cannot, thus causing the message to appear.
This pop-up message is actually a good thing because is a warning, and not a problem to be solved. However, if you don’t want to receive this pop-up message anymore in the future, we have a few solutions for you.
