Gamescom 2016 is just right around the corner and EA is wasting no time by releasing the first campaign trailer of its new game, Battlefield 1. We saw footage for the first time back at E3 2016, but this new trailer from our point of view, is far more interesting.

In the trailer, we get to see men riding on horseback while shooting, stabbing, and blowing things up. We knew horseback gameplay would be an important aspect of the game, but this is the first time EA and DICE decided to show in-game footage of the whole thing in action.

Apart from horsing around, the new Battlefield 1 trailer showed a lot of action where tanks and bi-planes are concerned. These tanks are not the of the same caliber as World War 2 tanks, or those of today, but nevertheless, they sure pack a punch.

When it comes down to the planes, these things have dangerous machine guns, but they can also drop torpedo bombs to take out enemy ships. We have seen this in the trailer, and it got our blood pumping. Still, we doubt players will be able to take out ships with torpedo bombs in multiplayer.

Next up, we saw an armored train. A train like this played a big role in World War 1, so we’re happy to see it make its way to the game.

Overall, great trailer from start to finish. EA and DICE could be sitting on a billion-dollar game right now. If information released by folks who played the multiplayer holds true, then fans of the franchise should embrace Battlefield 1 with wide open arms.
