If you’re trying to send an email attachment in ZIP file format but are unable to because your ISP smells something wrong with the file, you might want to try obscuring it using BMP Wrap.

The software allows you to hide a file as image inside a BMP shell before you send the file to friends or colleagues. The recipient can then extract and view the hidden file using BMP Wrap too. With the tool, you can send any file in any format, including .exe or .dll, without being scrutinized by the destination mail server.

The free Windows application lets you disguise any file as an image if you wish to keep certain files private. This is especially helpful for a common desktop at home or in the office. It’s a small application whose file size takes no more than 20KB. Also, it’s a standalone program with no user interface. After downloading the software, you can run the program right away without having to install it.

How BMP Wrap works

You can simply drag and drop a file onto the BMP Wrap icon to hide a file. The program will then create a valid BMP file or bitmap image that bears the same name as the original file. You can choose to store the resulting image file in your PC or send it to a certain recipient.

The tool prevents any unauthorized access. For instance, if someone else tries to open the bitmap image, the file presents a distorted image. For Gmail users, BMP Wrap also helps you to attach .exe or .dll file which are otherwise not allowed as email attachments.

However, BMP Wrap lacks password protection compared to other steganography application. Also, it does not use a source image as cover. For its simplicity, though, BMP Wrap deserves a try.Download BMP Wrapnow to check it out.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
