Age of Empires 3 is one of the best strategy games of all time and it’s fully compatible with Windows 8.1, but, as it turns out, there are certain problems especially when trying to install the War Chiefs expansion pack.Certain Windows 8.1 users have been complaining that while installing Age of Empires III: The War Chiefs, they have encountered various errors (1628, 1158) which result in a failed installation. As it turns out, the Age of Empires Asian Dynasties and War Chiefs have been working in Windows 8 and the issue has appeared only after the said upgrade to Windows 8.1. installed aoe3 , warchiefs and asian dynasties in win 8 and then upgraded to 8.1. got trouble with my installation and tried to reinstall it altogether. the first to worked and just the warchiefs just dont work! im getting quite frustrated now. i read a lot in the web but all the ‘solutions’ didnt work to me and the link isnt made for 8.1 isnt it?! PLEASE help me i want to play aoe again!!!
